How Long Does Roof Rejuvenation Last?

The honest timeline — per treatment, and over the life of your roof with re-treatment.

Each treatment adds 5 years of restored shingle flexibility, backed by our 5-year transferable warranty. With periodic re-treatment, many asphalt roofs gain 10–15 years of added service life. We commit to 5 years per treatment because that's what we warranty — not a longer number no field study has proven.

How long does one treatment last?

Five years per treatment, and that's backed by our 5-year transferable warranty. A single treatment restores the flexibility your shingles have lost and helps hold granules in place, so the roof behaves more like a newer one for that window. When you re-treat before the shingles dry back out, you restore that flexibility again.

How long over the life of the roof?

With periodic re-treatment, many asphalt roofs gain 10–15 years of added service life. Instead of replacing a roof that still has good bones, you keep restoring it on a cadence while it stays structurally sound — a fraction of a replacement's cost each time. Compare the options on our rejuvenation vs. replacement page.

How often should it be reapplied?

Since each treatment is warrantied for 5 years, a common cadence is to re-treat roughly every 5 years while the roof remains sound. We don't just re-spray on a timer, though — we re-inspect before any re-treatment to confirm your roof is still a good candidate and time it to your actual shingles, not a fixed calendar.

Why 5 years and not a bigger number: independent ASTM lab testing by PRI Construction Materials Technologies confirmed rejuvenation restores flexibility and reduces granule loss (about 46% on 17-year-old shingles) — but that was lab testing, and there's no long-term independent field study proving a specific number of added years. So we put our commitment in writing as a concrete 5-year warranty. Full detail on our does it work? page.

Does re-treatment work forever?

No — and we won't pretend otherwise. Re-treatment extends the life of a roof that's still structurally sound, but every asphalt roof eventually reaches the end of its life and needs replacement. Rejuvenation delays that point for aging-but-intact roofs; it can't make a roof last indefinitely, and it won't fix leaks, flashing, or missing shingles. When replacement becomes the smarter choice, we'll tell you.

What affects how long it lasts on my roof?

  • Shingle age and condition at the time of treatment
  • Sun exposure and roof orientation
  • Attic ventilation and overall roof health

That's why we inspect first and re-inspect before re-treatment. Want the numbers too? See our cost page or book a free inspection.
