Asphalt Shingle Rejuvenation
One thing, done well: we restore the oils and flexibility aging asphalt shingles lose — so your roof can keep protecting your home for years longer.
Roof rejuvenation is a spray-applied, corn-based, ~95% USDA-certified bio-based oil treatment that soaks into aging asphalt shingles to restore flexibility and help hold granules in place. It penetrates the shingle rather than coating it, and it's backed by our 5-year transferable warranty.
Corn-based, not soy-based
Here's something most homeowners don't realize: the rejuvenation treatments on the market aren't all the same. Most are soy-based. Ours is corn-based — a first-of-its-kind, ~95% USDA-certified bio-based formula that works at the molecular level to restore flexibility and granule adhesion, and it's third-party lab tested. Both approaches are legitimately bio-based; we simply chose the corn-based formula for the results it delivers on aging asphalt shingles.
Why asphalt shingles fail early
Asphalt shingles don't usually fail because they wear out mechanically — they fail because they dry out. The asphalt in a shingle is held together by oils. Years of Pennsylvania sun, heat, and freeze-thaw cycles bake those oils out. Once a shingle loses its oils it gets stiff and brittle, and the mineral granules that shield it from UV and rain start letting go. You see it as dark streaks in the gutters, bald patches, and a dry, faded roof.
A brittle shingle is a shingle on a countdown. Rejuvenation is designed to slow that countdown by putting the oils back.
What makes our treatment different from a coating
This is not a paint, sealant, or coating that sits on top of your roof. A coating can trap moisture and peel; ours does the opposite. The bio-based rejuvenant is applied at low pressure and penetrates into the shingle, re-saturating the asphalt so it flexes again the way a newer shingle does. Because it soaks in, it doesn't change how your roof looks or how it breathes.
Is your roof a candidate?
- Asphalt shingle roof, roughly 6–20 years old
- Dry, faded, or shedding granules — but structurally intact
- No active leaks; shingles are present and not cracked
What you get
- 5 years of restored flexibility per treatment, backed by a 5-year transferable warranty
- A treatment done in about 90 minutes, with no tear-off and no mess
- A cost of roughly 15–20% of a full replacement
- An honest inspection first — treatment only if it's genuinely the right call
What the lab testing shows
Independent ASTM lab testing by PRI Construction Materials Technologies found that bio-based rejuvenation restored shingle flexibility and reduced granule loss by about 46% on 17-year-old shingles. We explain exactly what that testing does and doesn't prove on our does it work? page — no overstating.
Find out if your roof qualifies
A free inspection is the only way to know for sure. We'll show you photos and tell you honestly whether rejuvenation or replacement makes more sense.
